Applications will re-open on 1 September 2024 for 2025 entry. This BA Hons level programme provides students with advanced level skills and knowledge in Acting for all media including Theatre, Television, Film and Radio. From the 2023-24 academic year onwards, our audition process is changing.
Acting Audition Process. We operate a two-stage process for admission. The first is a preliminary audition, which is normally held over Zoom (or other online platform), with a panel of two auditioners. If you are successful at the first stage, you will be required to attend a recall workshop, which is normally held in-person at the Theatre School.
There is an application fee of £25 for BA (Hons) Professional Acting. Please note that all application fees are non-refundable. Audition Fee Waivers. Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is pleased to be able to offer a number of free audition places via its fee waiver scheme.
The theatre school accepts just 28 people out of approximately 2,500 applications per year for the three-year BA acting course, [6] making it one of the most selective drama schools in the world. [6] Applicants are judged purely on talent in two rounds of intensive auditions. [6]
