Izzy did graduate from High School but Axl didn't and they both would have been around 20 when Hollywood Rose was formed in 1982. This does leave about a 2 year window where Axl could have been in the Army and Axl does have an Army Unit tattoo on his left shoulder that is a unit based in Germany.
