Hace 2 días · In 1543 Bratton was granted to Sir Thomas Seymour of Sudeley Castle (Glos.), brother of the Protector, who had already acquired the bulk of the Edington property. After Seymour's execution in 1548–9, Bratton appears to have remained with the Crown until 1591 when it was granted by the queen to Richard Knollis and Richard Swale.
