  1. Hace 2 días · In 1511 it was recovered by the Crown and was granted, as the lordship and manor of North Petherton, in 1547 to Edward Seymour, duke of Somerset. Following Somerset's attainder it was granted in 1553 to John Dudley, duke of Northumberland. The duke exchanged it for Syon House (Mdx.) in the same year with Sir Thomas Wroth (d. 1573).
