Cain[a] is a biblical figure in the Book of Genesis within Abrahamic religions. He is the elder brother of Abel, and the firstborn son of Adam and Eve, the first couple within the Bible. [1] He was a farmer who gave an offering of his crops to God. However, God was not pleased and favored Abel's offering over Cain's.

27 de ene. de 2023 · Cain was a rebellious man who rejected God’s plan, ignored God’s warnings, and received God’s judgment. Cain is most infamous for being the world’s first murderer. When his sacrifice was rejected by God while his brother Abel’s was accepted, Cain grew angry (Genesis 4:4–5).
In a fit of jealousy, roused by the rejection of his own sacrifice and the acceptance of Abel's, he committed the crime of murder, for which he was expelled from Eden, and led the life of an exile. He settled in the land of Nod, and built a city, which he named after his son Enoch.
