Hace 2 días · On December 1, 1955, nine months after a 15-year-old high school student, Claudette Colvin, refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a public bus in Montgomery, Alabama, and was arrested, Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Rosa Parks had gotten into an argument with bus driver James F. Blake before, back in 1943. Parks was arrested and charged with a violation of Chapter 6, Section 11 segregation law of the Montgomery City code.
