She spots a passing White Rabbit in a waistcoat, who panics of being late. Alice follows him into a burrow and plummets down a deep rabbit hole.

Karube Daikichi = the Gryphon: Often portrayed as an ally of Alice and is usually the platonic best friend of the Mock Turtle, who were apparently classmates in the book. When Alice, the Turtle and the Gryphon are together, the Gryphon is the “manly man”, the turtle is the “sensitive guy”, and Alice is somewhere in the middle.
