A notorious wanted outlaw (Glenn Ford) and a cautious cattle rancher (Van Heflin) engage in a tense battle of wills. I've seen Glenn Ford in several other films - all ranging from decent to superb - and he has made almost no impression on me. That changed immediately with his turn in "3:10 to Yuma" as a smirking, manipulative, murderous bandit.

"Atlantis, The Story of a German Surface Raider", by Mohr & Sellwood. 1955 Published in London by Werner Laurie. Mohr was captain of Atlantis, thus a first hand account of the ship and her men.
