Hace 2 días · I first saw Donnie Darko at a midnight screening of the director’s cut at a cozy cinema in my college town in 2004. It’s a movie practically made for college kids to dissect with other college kids, so that tracks. However, I do NOT recommend that your first viewing be at midnight, or that it be the director’s cut, even if you are under 25 and think you can handle it.
Hace 3 días · Sadly the right ear needs support material, but the rest kinda works :) I did a cut in a 110 degree angle, so the ears need to be rotated by 110 degrees and the face by 110, IIRC. It needs rescaling. This is printed to fit a tiny plushy ;) Printing it in 12000% should do the trick, 10000% is child size, I'd presume. Going to print it in 12500% next!

This "Last Temptation of Christ" is a great reference by Richard Kelly, the director of "Donnie Darko", considering the two movie's obvious parallels.

Hace 4 días · Film Weird, but Great . Donnie Darko is a very strange film. The overarching plot is an intentional Mind Screw, but never to the point the film is incomprehensible. Richard Kelly creates a mix between a unique take on the Coming of Age genre, Horror, and Time Travel), and succeeds in merging these genres into a brilliant film that is simultaneously foreboding, funny, and meaningful.
