Hace 5 días · Dire Straits, British rock band whose supple, slightly blues-tinged guitar rock was popular in the late 1970s and ’80s. Formed in London in 1977, the group was led by Mark Knopfler, a onetime journalist and college teacher who polished his musicianship as part of the pub rock movement.
The style you think of when you think of the band. I know some people prefer their earlier stuff, some like the departure from that sound first heard on Making Movies. I love the bare-bones/beat group sound of the first and second album (Communique might be my 3rd favourite behind S/T and Making Movies), but I love the lush atmosphere of Making Movies.

This is partnered with the Stageline S fed from a Supernait 3 and Linn Ninka speakers. I like to listen to my albums quite loud, Dire Straits, ELO etc. and I find the system is absolutely great.
