Hace 3 días · The Slits – Earthbeat. Leave a comment Posted by Jay Harper on May 27, 2024. Lovely opener from 1981’s ‘Return Of The Giant Slits’. This album wasn’t as immediate and spontaneous as their debut, 1979’s ‘Cut’. However, this album is measured, and more robust sounding than the first.
Yeah dude. She was only 48 when she died. Far too young...I really love The Slits though. And most of that was because of how unique Ari Ups vocals were. I never really got why they weren't put up with the greats of punk rock since they definitely deserved it. More so than The Runaways I think...

It was a long gown featured collarless, narrow horseshoe-shaped sleeves, buttons down the left front, four slits and a fitting waist. The slits could enhance men's freedom of mobility while they were riding the horse.
