Hace 3 días · Stephen Gerald Breyer ( / ˈbraɪ.ər / BRY-ər; born August 15, 1938) is an American lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1994 until his retirement in 2022. He was nominated by President Bill Clinton, and replaced retiring justice Harry Blackmun.
Hace 1 día · After Marshall, Thomas is the second African American to serve on the Supreme Court and has been its longest-serving member since Anthony Kennedy 's retirement in 2018. Since Stephen Breyer 's retirement in 2022, he is also the Court's oldest member. Thomas was born in Pin Point, Georgia.
