Loney left in 1971, disenchanted by the music business and the failure of the band to break big. He was replaced by Chris Wilson, who became the new main lead singer.

Truckin' or Touch of Grey are what most folks think of as The Dead. Spirit, I Got a Line on You. Someone mentioned, Big Yellow Taxi; same thing. Lots of heavy/metal bands are known for only a ballad or two that were "on the radio."
