In the early hours of April 19, 1775, he joined Paul Revere and William Dawes to warn people the British were marching to Concord. Prescott is the only one of the three who actually made it to Concord.

  3. Revere and Dawes then rode to meet John Hancock and Samuel Adams in Lexington, ten miles away, alerting up to 40 other Patriot riders along the way. Revere and Dawes then headed towards Concord with Samuel Prescott. The trio were intercepted by a British Army patrol in Lincoln.
