Olimpia (en griego clásico: Ὀλυμπία; en griego moderno: Ολυμπία [Olympía]; en latín: Olympia) es un sitio arqueológico situado en la unidad periférica de Élide, en Grecia. En la Antigüedad, era la sede de un importante santuario y además el lugar donde se celebraban los Juegos Olímpicos.

The site of Olympia, in a valley in the Peloponnesus, has been inhabited since prehistoric times. In the 10th century B.C., Olympia became a centre for the worship of Zeus. The Altis – the sanctuary to the gods – has one of the highest concentrations of masterpieces from the ancient Greek world.

Allí, desde el año 776 a.C. hasta el 393 d.C., se celebraron cada cuatro años los Juegos Olímpicos Panhelénicos en honor a Zeus. Olimpia está declarada por la UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
