A tremendous fan of Eisner’s work, Feiffer recalled, “I kept pestering him” for a piece of original art, but Eisner was reluctant to part with it. Eventually, Eisner gave in and signed it, “To Jules Feiffer, reluctantly, Will Eisner.”
