11 de may. de 2024 · Joel Chandler Harris was born in Eatonton in 1848. As a teenager, he apprenticed at a local plantation where he learned stories from African Americans. Later in life, while working as the associate editor of The Atlanta Constitution , Harris began writing a series of fictional stories centered around Uncle Remus.
