Hace 3 días · Stephen Ray Vaughan (also known as SRV; October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990) was an American musician, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock trio Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble.
Hace 2 días · On June 6, 1989, “Epic” label released “In Step”, the fourth Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble studio album. It was recorded January – March 1989, at “Kiva Studios” in Memphis, Tennessee, “Sound Castle” and “Summa Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Jim Gaines, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Reese Wynans, Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton.
Hace 4 días · Part of this is because of his extensive collaboration with Austin music fixture and old Vaughan friend Doyle Bramhall. Bramhall had collaborated with Vaughan going as far back as Texas Flood (1983), Double Trouble's debut, but on In Step, Bramhall co-wrote four of the seven original tracks. Bramhall was also newly sober and the two spent the weeks leading up to recording working up songs.
