Hace 2 días · In early 1973, "Cum on Feel the Noize" was released and went straight to number one, the first time a single had done so since The Beatles' "Get Back" in 1969. Another worldwide hit for Slade, the single again failed to impress in America where it made number 98.
Hace 2 días · Cum On Feel the Noize is a glam rock classic. Slade performed loud, anthemic songs in flamboyant costumes, often with lots of makeup and plenty of energy. Glam rock was big in the UK in the mid-’70s, and this was one of the genre’s first hits. Slade also had similarly misspelled songs Coz I Luv You and Mama Weer All Crazee Now.

Supergrass also excellent, and the fabulous Children from Robert Miles - some great tracks on these 1996 shows tonight. The Riverboat Song though is an Indication that Britpop is in full swing now...
Hace 11 horas · Before the album came out in ’83, we recorded a lot of stuff. We had a lot of battles with Spencer Proffer, the producer, about the album’s direction. He’s the one who wanted us to record [Slade’s] Cum on Feel the Noize because he thought Kevin had a similar voice to Noddy Holder.
