22 de oct. de 2017 · The lady who played Daphne in Frasier Jane Leeves said she was asked to audition for Benny Hill when she left drama school and go to his house to do the audition and she said there was nothing overly sexual about him at all and that they read the sketches together and she got on the show as a Hills Angel.
Benny Hill Accused of Sexual Predatory Behaviour / Assault by Punk Icon. FFS!! A 'has been' from the 80's who sold a few pop records now decides to claim sexual assault from a man who "tried to kiss her"and who has been dead the past 25 years!! She's certainly set her hopes low down the food chain.
22 de abr. de 2014 · Give Benny his due. His popularity waned with the onset of 'political correctness' and the advent of 'alternative comedy (now mainstream, ironically) comedy'. He got dumped by broadcasters and, I can't remember who it was, but on a tribute show some other comedian commented about how hurt and baffled he was by this.
22 de oct. de 2017 · The Benny Hill show was of its time and a lot of people would consider offensive today and simply wouldn't be made now. But remember it was hugely popular in its day. We've no idea what Benny Hill was like privately behind the scenes, but he's long dead. She should have complained while he was still alive.
i Love benny Hill and have all the Thames shows on dvd ,but i have to agree that by the late 80s benny's show was'nt a patch on his mid 70s programes Even by the late 70s they were deep in a rut. Some of his very early work is brlliant.
22 de oct. de 2017 · Cant see any post where anyone has said she deserved to be hit on, only the fact that she’s mentioned it now, 41 years after it happened, and the fact that Hill has been dead for 25 years. Also, the headline was very sensational, accusing him of being a sexual predator, when we don’t know for sure he was.
22 de oct. de 2017 · Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Benny Hill was in fact gay. The risque jokes and scantily-clad ladies were all part of the act. Kenny Everett had Hot Gossip, after all.
