El Sensor de Posición del Cigueñal (Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) en inglés) es un sensor magnético que genera voltaje usando un sensor y una rueda con dientes «perdidos» solidaria al cigueñal, el cual le dice a la centralita (ECU) y al módulo de encendido la posición exacta de los pistones según suben y bajan en un ciclo de motor.
