Along with the battle footage, scenes of everyday life on aircraft carriers and battleships alternate with poignant tableaux, such as an injured seaman being administered last rites by the onboard chaplain.

Hace 1 día · Life During Wartime. When the new boat that I was assigned to arrived, I brought my few belongings on board and met the crew. As usual, the crew consisted of myself, the coxswain, and two seamen. The boat was relatively new and the engine room had a recent coat of paint. I was the old-timer, having been in the country for about six months (!).
