He benefits from a hype bar that charges with his holds, which makes his next holds impossible to counter and modifies the characteristics of some of his moves.. The character main abilities. Skullgirls Beowulf's character ability, Hype Mode, gives him a frenzy charge every 30 seconds as well as every time he grabs.
Universal. A 236LK combo that is beginner friendly and a good first combo. Against Annie, delay ~2k after 236LK~9k or it will whiff. Can also sometimes side switch even with delay, use 236LK~9K~3K instead to avoid this. Against Big Band and Double you can use either of these instead of 236LK~9K~2K. 236LK 6K 2K.
Beowulf is a pretty unique character (and not only because he is one of only two male fighters in Skullgirls).Imagine you take a hero from a beat 'em up title and put them into a fighting game. Yep, that sounds like the recipe for creating Beowulf. This guy is really good at damaging his opponents, but he does this better at a close range.
Functionally, Beowulf's assists are a pretty decent aid to Fukua. Beo's a good battery character to make Fukua's command grab game and overall damage more threatening. Good DHCs for damage and safety, Gigantic Arm into Fireball super needing an Alpha Counter to punish, and Fukua gets a safe DHC with Airwulf.
