Warlock doesn't need much items to be useful for his team, that's why the Basilius+Mekansm build is getting so popular. And that's why the core build is RoB+BoS. A Sobi Mask will cover all your mana needs in early game you can even start with the sobi plus some tangos and branches if you like, but the hero generally isn't that mana dependent, just try to play wisely not spamming Shadow Word.
