Both albums feature lengthy, largely improvised instrumental tracks, and both cross musical boundaries freely.

It sounds very similar to Uncle Meat besides WPLJ and Valarie, which of course sound like songs from Cruising With Ruben & the Jets. The songs in between would have snugly fit with the best of Uncle Meat.
