It would be the final studio album with the band’s original lineup for seven years, a duration in which Blue Öyster Cult lost much of its commercial momentum, making this 1981 album their high water mark. 23 de mar. de 2013 · One of Blue Oyster Cult's strongest albums, with some of their best cuts such as Burnin' for You, Veteran of the Psychic Wars and some more underappreciated deeper cuts such as Vengeance but overall, Fire of Unknown Origin is a consistently fun and enjoyable Hard Rock album which also impact on the upcoming Heavy Metal scene.
On the surface Blue Oyster Cult's songs seem to express the toughness demanded by the heavy metal crowd and the fiery guitar solos execute these hopeful dreams, however, attentive listeners discover the wreckage in the wake.
