Polly Anne Samson est une journaliste et écrivaine née à Londres le 29 avril 1962. Elle est aussi, depuis 1994, l'épouse du guitariste et chanteur David Gilmour, ex-membre de Pink Floyd. Polly Samson's second novel, The Kindness, was published to widespread acclaim by Bloomsbury in 2015. She has been on the judging panel for many literary prizes including the Costa Novel of the Year Award and the overall Costa Book of the Year. In 1993 she co-wrote, with David Gilmour, the lyrics to seven tracks on Pink Floyd's The Division Bell.
