Saul Aaron Kripke es un lógico y filósofo estadounidense. Nació en el año 1940 en Omaha (Nebraska). Estudió en la Universidad de Harvard en la que consiguió el grado en matemáticas con una mención summa cum laude. Comenzó enseñando en Harvard, para pasar en 1967 a la Universidad Rockefeller de Nueva York.
