Merlin Holland (grandson) Constance Mary Wilde (née Lloyd; 2 January 1858 – 7 April 1898) was an Irish writer. She was the wife of Irish playwright Oscar Wilde and the mother of their two sons, Cyril and Vyvyan .

After his father's trials, his mother changed their surname to Holland and moved them to Switzerland for protection. Holland became a soldier and died during the Battle of Festubert in World War I.

Since Cyril Holland joined the Swallow Sidecar company in 1926, he proved to be invaluable to William Lyons, who might have never succeeded without Holland behind him. Holland was great at interpreting Lyons’ sketches and he, more than anyone, was the one who got Swallow bodies off the sketch pad and into the showrooms.
He was promoted to Captain on 30 October 1914. When the First World War broke out, Captain Holland was posted back to Europe and took part in the battle for Neuve-Chapelle, where he was killed by a German sniper on 9 May 1915, during the Battle of Festubert. He is buried at Street Vaast Post Military Cemetery, Richebourg-l"Avoué.
