Timothy Hart. Profile: Born: 9th January 1948 Lincoln, England. Died: 24th December 2009 La Gomera, Canary Islands. Folk musician Tim Hart was singer and founder of the band Steeleye Span and played the dulcimer and guitar. Recorded and performed with the band throughout the 70's and also released an eponymous solo album in 1979.

31 de dic. de 2009 · Tim Hart, of folk group Steeleye Span, dies aged 61. Hart (second left) suggested his band call themselves Steeleye Span. Tim Hart, a founding member of UK folk group Steeleye Span, has died at the age of 61, it has been announced. Hart, who left the band in 1983, died of lung cancer on Christmas Eve in La Gomera on the Canary Islands.
