It’s amazing the different directions the component Spacemen have gone in. But it is Spacemen 3 that still fascinates me above all other incarnations. So for now, I’m going to try to make this site a repository of Spacemen information, a celebration of Sonic and Jason, and of all of the others who played their part along the way.

Spacemen 3 were one of the bands fundamental to the development of psychedelic music. Taking inspiration from the spark of revolution brought on by the Jesus and Mary Chain, who had rediscovered feedback and changed the acceptance of "guitar pop," Spacemen 3 made landfall in a dissonant and hallucinatory sound that transformed the sound of a guitar into a kind of spiritual exercise.
