Norman Mailer, the American novelist, and filmmaker, provides excellent thought-provoking story ideas with dueling ideologies and progressively analytical narratives, but his films are downright unwatchable. Muffled audio, blurry cinematography, as if it's a Cassavetes film without any sense of surrounding or purpose.
