Leben und Werdegang. Sandler wurde am 9. September 1966 im New Yorker Stadtteil Brooklyn als Sohn jüdischer Eltern geboren. Sein Vater Stanley war Elektroingenieur, seine Mutter Judy Lehrkrankenschwester. Als Adam Sandler fünf Jahre alt war, zog die Familie nach Manchester in New Hampshire, wo er später die Manchester Central High School besuchte und abschloss.
