Splinter (1999) is one of the bleakest albums I've heard, yet also very powerful. Sneaker Pimps' sophomore effort exudes the teenage angst of Violent Femmes 1983 debut, but without Gordon Gano's sense of humor. Highlights include tracks 1-4, Half Life, Low Five, Lightning Field, Curl, and also track 11 Splinter.
21 de oct. de 2006 · After the departure of Kelli Dayton, most Sneaker Pimps fans were hesitant on giving "Splinter" a go. The transition from Dayton to Chris Corner seemed to have compromised the bands style and for most fans, this was unforgivable. However, I listened to "Splinter" before "Becoming X" and had less of that bias.
