P.P. Arnold is also the only classic soul sister I have had to chance to see on stage. And I can tell she is extraordinary!! This fantastic anthology collects her entire Immediate catalogue (28 songs), including all of her hit singles, plus several tracks recorded with the Small Faces.
I saw P.P. Arnold live in a Small Faces tribute in London, say, ten years ago, and I can tell you she KNOWS what Soul is. A former Ikette herself, she toured with them in the 60's, becoming 'The first Lady of Immediate' Label, after a suggestion by Mick Jagger to stay in London.
