Bjorn began his career as a member of various bands in the 1960s, such as Slam Creepers and Svenne & Lotta. In 1973, Bjorn formed Blue Swede along with other members such as Bosse Liljedahl, Hinke Ekestubbe, Anders Berglund, and Michael Areklew.
