Leden The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Jeff Hanna (1966-heden, gitaar, mandoline, wasbord, zang) ... Van 1967 tot 1968 nam de band de albums Rare Junk en Alive op en verbleef vier maanden in het Whitman National Forest in Oregon om mee te werken aan de opnamen voor de western Paint Your Wagon met Clint Eastwood en Lee Marvin.

Not bad , but I ususally don't like live appearance albums. I don't like the commentary between songs etc.
After the release of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Ricochet, Kunkel left the NGDB in December 1967 and was replaced by Chris Darrow, formerly of Kaleidoscope. Darrow contributed to the studio album Rare Junk and the live release Alive!, before the band went on hiatus at the end of 1968.
