The Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands explained to Billboard they came up with a "future funk odyssey" which points to the angst of our times in which 'Eve' is "the bringer of destruction." The song is one of several tracks that features vocals by Norwegian singer Aurora, who wrote and recorded parts in Tom Rowland's East Sussex studio.
