Claire Beck Loos (tchèque : Klára Becková-Loosová) est une photographe et écrivain née en 1904 à Pilsen et décédée en 1942 à Riga.Elle est l'auteur de Adolf Loos – A Private Portrait, ouvrage consacré à Adolf Loos dont elle est la troisième épouse [1].. Elle est déportée au camp de concentration de Theresienstadt en 1941 et meurt dans un camp de concentration à Riga en 1942.

2 de ene. de 2021 · Claire Beck Loos wrote Adolf Loos Privat, a literary work of snapshot-like vignettes about Loos’ character, habits and sayings, which was published by the Johannes-Presse in Vienna in 1936. The book was intended to raise funds for Adolf Loos’ tomb, as he died destitute on August 23, 1933.[4]
The journal a+u, devoting two issues of 2018 to Loos, illustrated the cover of one of them with the same dramatic image of the tomb reproduced above. Claire Beck Loos never got to see it because she was sent by the Nazis to the concentration camps of Theresienstadt and Riga, where she presumably died in the gas chamber in 1942, with no other tomb for her ashes than air.
