Steve Morse, 2017. Steve J. Morse (* 28.Juli 1954 in Hamilton, Ohio) ist ein US-amerikanischer Gitarrist.Er ist Mitbegründer der amerikanischen Fusion-Band Dixie Dregs und war Mitglied von Kansas und Deep Purple.Er wurde sechsmal für einen Grammy nominiert und von der Zeitschrift Guitar Player fünfmal hintereinander zum „Guitar Player of the Year“ gewählt.

13 de sept. de 2022 · Morse’s solo career really took off with “Tumeni Notes,” from his third solo album, 1989’s High Tension Wires. The track is a master class in alternate picking, on which he displays the face-melting speed most players can achieve only with sweep picking. By then, he’d been a member of Kansas, which he joined in 1985.
