Despite my lack of interest in the game I found myself rooting for the lads during their matches. Made in the mid-80's it does of course have huge nostalgia value, too.
BBC. Jossy Blair was a talented footballer in his youth. But his career was cut short when he injured himself during his first game for Newcastle United. One day Jossy sees the local youth football club, the Glipton Grasshoppers, struggle in a match, and offers the boys some much-needed advice on improving their game.

17 de ene. de 2017 · Jossy's Giants reflects life in that sense, though without the really difficult stuff like loss, and grief, and insurmountable meaninglessness. It is a children's show, after all.

2 de may. de 2017 · Jossy’s Giants tapped into this idea with gusto. The other particularly memorable part of Jossy’s Giants was the opening credits and theme tune. Each week, the Grasshoppers would attempt – and fail – to spell out Jossy’s Giants using a set of placards with the various letters on. A simple joke, sure, but effective nonetheless.
