Ron Welty est né le 1er février 1971 à Long Beach ( Californie ). Il fut membre du groupe punk rock californien The Offspring en qualité de batteur de 1986 à 2003. Il décide de quitter The Offspring en plein enregistrement de l'album Splinter ( 2003 ). Il continue à jouer de la batterie dans les groupes Spinning Fish et Steady Ground .
Ronald "Ron" Welty, född 1 februari 1971 i Long Beach, Kalifornien, är en amerikansk musiker som är mest känd för sin tid som trumslagare i punkrockbandet The Offspring.Welty gick med i bandet i juli 1987 efter att den tidigare trumslagaren James Lilja hade lämnat The Offspring. Han medverkade på samtliga album med bandet fram till Conspiracy of One, som släpptes 2000.
The band's longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987 and stayed for 16 years.
