Trio Jeepy is a mostly fun and enjoyable post-bop release featuring Branford Marsalis on tenor and soprano sax, Milt Hinton and Delbert Felix on bass and Jeff "Tain" Watts on drums. TRIO JEEPY swings with the authority only bassists of Hinton's caliber can command; he didn't get the nickname "The Judge" for nothing. His legacy is his sturdy time and huge, round sound. This is most apparent on "Three Little Words," where he employs his inimitable slap-bass technique.
