On December 4th, 2020, it was reported that, following conflicts regarding the band's management, Alcatrazz had parted ways with Graham Bonnet and Doogie White would be replacing him. Within hours after this announcement, Bonnet claimed on his Facebook page that he would "still be recording and performing with Alcatrazz" with a new lineup that is to be announced in the spring of 2021.
Alcatrazz's first studio album in 34 years, 'Born Innocent', was released on 31 July, 2020, through Silver Lining Music. Not made public at the time in June 2020 a month before "Born Innocent" was released, Graham Bonnet quit Alcatrazz after privately declaring his dissatisfaction with playing heavy metal; ironically a type of music he feels no genuine affinity for.

Alcatrazz is a heavy metal band formed in 1983 by Graham Bonnet, Jimmy Waldo, and Gary Shea. They are best known for their songs "Island in the Sun", "Hiroshima Mon Amour", and "God Blessed Video". They are also notable for featuring a previously-unknown Yngwie Malmsteen as their lead guitarist for a year, who was then replaced by Steve Vai, with whom they recorded one album.
