24 de nov. de 2023 · Word is slowly making its way across FB that prolific session/background singer, Fanita James of The Blossoms and Bob. Soxx & the Blue Jeans, passed away on November 23rd. Fanita is present on the bulk of many Philles Records classics, especially those by the likes of Darlene Love, The Ronettes, and others.

Really sorry to hear that another one of Phil's Philles angels has passed -- especially on an otherwise happy holiday like Thanksgiving. May you RIP, Fanita. I really started appreciating The Blossoms when I got into collecting the old "Shindig!"
