David Michael Alexander was born on June 3, 1947, in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, U.S. In Ann Arbor he met brothers Ron and Scott Asheton with whom he went to England to see The Who and to “try and find The Beatles” after selling his motorcycle in 1965.

Hace 2 días · Having enjoyed working with the Ashetons on Skull Ring, Pop reformed the Stooges, with bassist Mike Watt (formerly of the Minutemen) filling in for the late Dave Alexander and Fun House saxophonist Steve Mackay rejoining the lineup. That year, Pop opened Madonna's Reinvention World Tour in Dublin.

He is survived by three children Corey (Shelley), Laura and Wes, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and another on the way. Dave was born in Vancouver on September 5, 1934.

Hace 6 días · As far as 1970-era Stooges, the photos from around then in "I Need More" show Marhall heads and cabinets for both Dave Alexander and Ron Asheton. Asheton has 2 big-cabinet Marhall heads on their sides on the floor, presumably 100 watt.
