The Secret of the Sword is an introduction to She-Ra and her world Etheria. Granted, this cartoon was made to sell toys with hopes of competing against Barbi, everything is fleshed out and feels complete. The world-building of Etheria is rather impressive.

An engaging story to read aloud in the classroom, the book could be used in the curriculum areas of HSIE, English and Values.
