Back when the album was released, I bought a copy of The Jesus And Mary Chain "Automatic" on cassette from the Virgin Mega Store in London. When I got it back home and tried playing it, I found that the tape did not contain that album at all but what to my ears sounded like light opera (or as I referred to it at the time, "Harry Secombe").
