Origins of “The Sneetches”. “ The Sneetches ” is a children’s book written by Dr. Seuss, which was first published in 1961. The story is about a group of yellow bird-like creatures called Sneetches who live on a beach. The Sneetches are divided into two groups: those with stars on their bellies and those without.
