Honeymoon In Red were a supergroup of sorts, that grew out of Lydia Lunch collaborating with the Birthday Party and Rowland S Howard in particular (Nick Cave only sings on two of the songs). The tapes were unfinished at the time and remixed later by Jim Foetus, with Thurston Moore brought in for some guest guitar.
The B-side tracks were originally recorded by the Honeymoon In Red ensemble, whose recordings were released by Widowspeak in 1987 as being a Lydia Lunch release. "Done Dun" on this release is the same version as on "Honeymoon In Red", whereas "Dead River" is a vocal and piano-only version, and differs to that on "Honeymoon In Red".
